Why production teams choose SLS on the Fuse 1+ 30W

No support structures

No support structures

The Fuse 1+ 30W sinters nylon powder layer by layer; the part forms inside a powder bed that holds it in place. Moving joints, internal cavities and nested assemblies print in one job with minimal post-processing.

Isotropic strength

Isotropic strength

Sintered nylon parts carry load equally in all axes — mechanical properties that FDM and SLA do not provide.

Dense, multi-tier chamber packing

Dense, multi-tier chamber packing

Because nothing needs support, parts can be stacked through the full build volume. A tightly packed chamber lowers the cost per part.

Swappable build chambers

Swappable build chambers

A new batch starts while the previous chamber is still cooling. With a second chamber the print / cool-down / unpack cycle runs continuously.

Up to 70% powder recovery

Up to 70% powder recovery

Unsintered powder is sieved on Fuse Sift and returned to the next print — up to 70% of unused material goes back into production.

Up to 2× faster than Fuse 1

Up to 2× faster than Fuse 1

With the 30 W fiber laser the Fuse 1+ 30W prints up to twice as fast as the original Fuse 1, and the system starts up in under 60 minutes.

From powder to finished part: a closed loop

  1. 01

    01 · Print — Fuse 1+ 30W

Nylon powder is sintered with the 30 W fiber laser. A print cycle takes 2–18 hours depending on how densely the chamber is packed.

  2. 02

    02 · Recover powder — Fuse Sift

Parts are extracted and the unused powder is sieved: up to 70% returns to the next print. HEPA filtration keeps the workspace clean.

  3. 03

03 · Clean and finish — Fuse Blast

Automated media blasting cleans a full chamber of parts in about 15 minutes, with a matte or semi-gloss finish.

Frequently asked questions

Which materials does the Fuse 1+ 30W support?

Eight compatible powders: Nylon 12, Nylon 12 White, Nylon 12 Tough, Nylon 12 GF, Nylon 11, Nylon 11 CF, TPU 90A and Polypropylene.

Does the Fuse 1+ 30W need nitrogen?

Not for Nylon 12 — it prints in an air atmosphere. For Nylon 11, Nylon 11 CF and TPU 90A, nitrogen purging is recommended to reach maximum mechanical properties.

Are support structures needed for SLS printing?

No. The unsintered powder holds the parts in place, so you can print moving joints and complex internal cavities and pack the chamber with parts in several tiers.

Is the Fuse 1+ suitable for serial production?

Yes. With swappable build chambers the Fuse 1+ is optimised for runs of 100–1000+ parts. A full chamber holds 50–200 parts depending on their size. For batches of 100–500 pieces it is often more economical than silicone moulding.

What is included in the High Efficiency Package?

The printer with a build chamber, Fuse Sift, Fuse Blast with the polishing module and vacuum, a second build chamber, 2 powder cartridges, 40 kg of Nylon 12 and one year of service. Two chambers give a continuous cycle: while one prints, the other cools down and is unpacked.

Fuse 1+ 30W or Fuse X1 — which one to choose?

The Fuse 1+ is compact and works with 8 materials today. The Fuse X1 is a large-format system with 5.2× the throughput. For getting started and for mid-size series — Fuse 1+; for large parts — Fuse X1.
